Encounter error on launch and connection.
Issue 1:
On first launch of Toad the following message will be prompted:
"Toad did not find a supported default DB2 client and cannot continue. Please shut down Toad, install a default DB2 client or select a previously installed client as default."
or
"Toad did not find a default 64 bit DB2 client, and Toad no longer includes one in the install. Install a supported default 64 bit DB2 Client to create a connection. See Connection Details in the New Connection Wizard for more information."
Issue 2:
When trying to connect, after upgrading/installing a full DB2 client to be used with Toad, the following may occur within Toad.
"SQL1598N An attempt to connect to the database server failed because of a licensing problem. SQLSTATE=42968"
This error also occurs when trying to connect to the database through the full client with Command Line Prompt (CLP) outside of Toad.
