From Toad for DB2 v 4.5.1.917, altered a table, move a column to a different position, a script was executed and failed in the import with error
'SQL3326N The column list following the table name in the Action String parameter is invalid.'
The error appears to occur because commas are missing in the column list in the import.
STATUS:
Waiting for the future release of Toad for DB2.
WORKAROUND:
1) Use LOAD utility
(Please go to Tools | Options | Database | DB2 | Advanced Admin | Preserve Data Method.
-- Be sure the radio button is checked labeled "Use commands/Utilities"
-- Check the box labeled "Use LUW load utility when applicable"
2) If use the IMPORT utility, user will need to review the script and add the commas in the IMPORT step;
For example:
Toad 4.5.1 generated IMPORT (note that commas are missing in the column list)
IMPORT FROM
'%DATA_PATH%ABCD_C757166_TBL946552284.ixf'
OF IXF
MODIFIED BY COMPOUND=5
NOCHECKLENGTHS
COMMITCOUNT 1000
INSERT INTO "ABCD"."C757166_TBL"
(
"COL1"
"COL4"
"COL2"
"COL3"
);
Can be manually modified as follows:
IMPORT FROM
'%DATA_PATH%ABCD_C757166_TBL1756234569.ixf'
OF IXF
MODIFIED BY COMPOUND=5
NOCHECKLENGTHS
COMMITCOUNT 1000
INSERT INTO "ABCD"."C757166_TBL"
(
"COL1",
"COL4",
"COL2",
"COL3"
);
