How to export multiple SQL results to multiple tabs in Excel using automation
Description
Need to use automation to run multiple SQL's and export each result set to a different tab in the same Excel file. What is the best way to go about doing this?
Resolution
Use Select to File tasks, in the automation, to run the different SQL's and send the results to an Excel file. Make sure to use the Advanced Properties to specify which tab each result set should be exported to. The Advanced Properties button can be found in the Export File section of the Select to File’s Activity Input tab. In the Advanced Properties window, specify which tab the data should be exported to by typing the tab's name in the "Worksheet Name" field.
