Description
When connected to a Chinese database, accessing objects like tables or views from database explorer throws the following error:
ERROR [42818] [IBM] [DB2/LINUX] SQL0401N The data types of the operands for operation "=" are not compatible.
SQLSTATE=42818 -
Cause
Third party defect. APAR IC67116: SQLExecute in CLI returns SQL401N for comparison operators when using deferred prepare against a non-unicode target database.

Resolution
The fix for this APAR will be included into the DB2 9.7 Fix Pack 2, which is planned to be released in May 2010. Please contact IBM support for further details of the DB2 fix.
