User has installed many versions of Toad for DB2 Z/OS from 2.5 to 22.214.171.1244 successful for free trial. When installing the commercial version 126.96.36.1998, the following error occurs: "unable to install/get error occurred while initializing profile registry".
Left-over entries in the Registry even after the uninstall of Toad.
1. Open Registry, by selecting Start | Run and entering "Regedit".
2. Go to the InstalledCopies entry at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | IBM | db2
3. Right-click on the entry and select Delete
4. Install Toad for DB2
