"Error 1603" or ".Net 3.5 SP1 and 4.0 required" during installation of a Toad suite on Windows 7
Description

When executing the Toad for DB2 5.6 Suite bundles on Windows 7 or higher, the installation will not complete and throws an "Error 1603" message. Also the suite installers incorrectly state that the .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 and 4.0 are required. The installers also DO NOT state that .Net Framework v4.5 is required.
Resolution

WORKAROUND 1:

Ensure all three .Net Frameworks versions are installed on the computer prior to installing the Toad for DB2 suite:

* 3.5 SP1
* 4.0
* 4.5

WORKAROUND 2:

Download and install the standalone Toad for DB2 5.6 installers from supportlink. (i.e. Toad for DB2 z/OS 5.6 Installer or Toad for DB2 LUW 5.6 Installer)

Additional Information

No issues with the suite bundles on Windows Xp.
