Getting "general ODBC error" whilst generating an Excel Spreadsheet with Linked Query in TDA</ (4335095)

Getting "general ODBC error" whilst generating an Excel Spreadsheet with Linked Query in TDA.
This only happens when trying to use parameters. Without using  parameters it works fine.
Steps to reproduce the problem.

1. Run a Query in the Query Builder
2. Go to the Where Condition of a numeric field
3. Enter condition = Constant (and the constant will be :X)
4. Click OK
5. Run the Query
6. You will be prompted for a value for the parameter. Enter a value that returns results.
7. R-click on the grid and select Quick Export | Linked Query to an Excel instance | Excel Linked Query.

You get the error:
 

"Unable to execute linked query.
Excel returned the message: "General ODBC Error".
Error code: 800A03EC Export is cancelled"
