Error 'Can't find database object TABLENAME' running cross-connection query which includes a Salesforce connection.
Description
Cross-connection query between Salesforce and SQL Server, no longer works after upgrading from 3.5 to 3.6. The following error occurs when it is executed:
'Can't find database object TABLENAME'
Cause
Toad Data Point now supports Salesforce SOQL. When composing a Salesforce query in the Editor, use SOQL instead of SQL. When you build a Salesforce query in the Query Builder, Toad generates a SOQL query in the Query tab, not a SQL query (as in 3.5)
Note: Salesforce queries created in Toad Data Point 3.5 or earlier are no longer supported.
Resolution
1. To run previously-created Salesforce queries in Toad, rewrite the queries using SOQL.
2. Note: If tablename includes '__c' as a suffix, then a cross-connection query will fail
WORKAROUND
none
STATUS
Issue resolve on TDP 4.0
Defect ID
QAT-4298
Additional Information
'Can't find database object TABLENAME' may also occur in a regular Query Builder session when connected to Salesfore. The query built includes the table name in uppercase. To resolve the issue, edit the query so that the tablename is exactly as shown in the Object Explorer.
