Error "Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126" after upgrading to version 4.1 and trying to make db2 connection -
Description
Upgraded Toad Data Point from 4.0 to 4.1 and migrated settings and connections. On attempting to make a DB2 connection, the following error occurs:
"Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 126"

Cause
Toad Data Point 4.0 is a 32-bit application. Toad Data Point 4.1 and above have the option to be installed as either 32-bit or 64-bit. In this case, the 64-bit was installed. This requires a 64-bit DB2 client and the currently installed client is 32-bit. -
Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
To use the current 32-bit DB2 client, uninstall Toad Data Point 4.1 64-bit (or above) and reinstall with the 32-bit edition.
RESOLUTION 2:
Install a 64-bit DB2 Client (Note you may need to re-catalog the databases, or import the catalog from the 32-bit DB2 client)

Connection to an Oracle database also requires that the bit type of the Oracle Client matches the bit type of Toad.
