Import Wizard, Dates load incorrectly from ODBC SQLite database -
Description
Toad Data Point loads the dates and appears proper.
However, the dates do not load so that Toad Data Point reports correctly for
1) max(date) or
2) strftime('%Y-%m-%d', date). -
Resolution
WORKAROUND.
The following two requirements are needed to allow a workaround to use the Import Wizard with SQLite databases.
1) The import file input MUST be in .CSV format
Since SQLite works with dates as strings the only date format that works properly is yyyy-mm-dd as that is a sortable date format.This format must be set in the .CSV file (via the Custom Format option) before using the Import Wizard.
This allows the SELECT statements with "order by date desc" (or asc) to order the dates correctly.2) Select VARCHAR50 as the datatype for the date column.
