Data Grid results display 'Excluded' on LONG field datatypes (4265581)

Query results in the data grid  that contains a LONG datatype field  will display 'Excluded' rather than  the actual  data.

The default in Toad for Data Analysis was changed to NOT read LONG datatypes to increase performance.

RESOLUTION:

Manually fetch the data:

1. Click in one of the cells that has the (Excluded) entry.
2. A pop-up a dialog will ask:

To fetch this data, Toad must re-execute the entire query, Do you want to continue?

3. Select OK.

WORKAROUND:

Change the default behavior in the options menu:

1. Go to Tools | Options | Database | General in the main menu.
2. Check the "Read LOBs when initially fetching data" check box.
3. Click on Apply and OK.
