How is an activity/automation script set to "Stop on error"?
What is the difference between the "Stop on error" or "Continue on error" button in Script Settings for an automation script, and the individual check boxes for "Stop on error" in the specific Activities in the script?
For the individual activities specified in the automation script, some may have a check box to enable or disable the option to "Stop on error" in the Activities Info tab. Please make sure these are set accordingly.
If the check box is marked, Toad will stop the automation if there is an error that occurs in this activity. It will not continue on to the following activities in the Automation script.
If the check box is not marked, Toad will error out and continue with the rest of the Automation script.
Please also note, under Script Settings for the automation on the Activities Input tab, there are toggle buttons for "Stop on error" or "Continue on error". This is a general toggle option to set all or none for all the "Stop on error" check box in each activity. If the "Stop on error" is enabled in Settings, all the "Stop on error" check boxes in each Activity is enabled. If the "Continue on error" are enabled in Settings, all the "Stop on error" check boxes in each Activity are disabled.
Note, while this may be toggled on to "Stop on error" in this Settings details, the specific setting in each Activities | Activity Info tab check box for "Stop on error" is what defines the action of the automation script, regardless of the toggle buttons in the Settings | Activities Input tab.
