Working with a Sybase database (v12.5), when in the explorer, the data tab for a table it will try to bring back all records. Even if the option Database | General | "Number of rows to initially fetch" set to 50, the data grid still tries to bring back all records and not just 50.
This is only a problem when connected to Sybase. Other database connections (like to Oracle) works as expected with the "Number of rows to initially fetch" setting.
The issue is related to how TDA handles Sybase 12.5.3. For that version TDA should use the "set rowcount <n>" command to limit the number of records retrieved, but it doesn't.
This is only an issue with 12.5.3. Sybase 15, which uses the TOP command instead, is working properly.

None
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future version of Toad for Data Analysts.
