TDP Export corrupts pivot table with grouping. -
Description
When exporting data to an Excel file, if that file has pivot table with a group set to a date field on that pivot table, the file gets corrupted. After export, if trying to open the file, it gives the following error:
"Excel found unreadable content in 'testpivot1.xlsx'. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook?"
To open/recover the file, Excel removes pivot table. The data is imported correctly but the pivot becomes unusable. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
None
This is not an issue if there is no grouping set for a pivot table, on a date field. Exporting when a sort or filter is set up seems to work without corrupting the pivot table.

At this point, this does not seem to be an issue if grouped on any other type field. Just an issue if grouped on a date field.
