"System.formatexception input string was not in a correct format" error when installing. (4225803)

Trying to do trial installation get popup error message:

"system.formatexception input string was not in a correct format."

Installation says it's finished and it's in the optimizing routine of the installer when the error comes up.

Conflict with environment. Environment settings may not be updated.

RESOLUTION 1:

Verify that you meet the following:

1. Admin rights are needed to install Toad for Data Analysis. Power user rights are needed to use TDA.
2. Check for Operating System critical updates and .NET Framework updates.
3. .NET 2.0 and up is required for TDA.

In order to run Toad for Data Analysis, the .NET security policy must be set to Unrestricted. To modify the security policy (either you or your System Administrator):

1 From the Windows Start menu, select Settings | Control Panel.
2 Double-click Administrative Tools.
3 Double-click Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Configuration.
4 Click + to expand My Computer, and then select the Runtime Security Policy node. A list of tasks for the node display in the right panel.
5 Click Evaluate Assembly from the list of tasks in the right panel. An Evaluate an Assembly window displays.
6 Browse to the location of Toad.exe in the File field.
7 Click Next to view permissions for Toad.exe.
8 Set the permission to Unrestricted.

RESOLUTION 2:
Check the Windows profile and reinstall it.
