Editor window cannot execute SQLPlus commands. -
Description
User attempting to use bind variables in a query and is using SET DEFINE ON statement in the script. Editor does not execute the SET command and as a result, query errors to the following:
ORA-01745: invalid host/bind variable nameIssue persists with EXEC command.

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Use the Editor | "Execute SQL Script in External App" menu option to execute scripts with SQLPlus commands. This option will run scripts in Quest ScriptRunner module of Toad.*
STATUS:
Enhancement request ER 54147 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Toad for Data Analysis. -
