Error "This app can't run on your PC" when installing after download. -
Description
Toad is downloaded from the website to a Windows 8.x / 10.x PC. On running, the following Windows error is displayed:
"This app can't run on your PC
To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher"

Cause
1. Incorrect 'bit' type i.e. 64-bit version of Toad has been downloaded and it cannot run on a 32-bit version of Windows.
or
2. Corrupted download.
or
3. Insufficient privileges.

Resolution
Please try the download again, selecting the correct 'bit' version for your Windows.
Also, download ‘directly’ to your “DESKTOP” location (and run it from there too), not any network drives. This can avoid many potential download and installation problems.
Please also try the 'MSI (Special Installation Only)' type of download and see if the MSI installation file will work better.
Lastly, also try other web browsers i.e. Firefox, Chrome, IE.
ad 3. Please be sure, that you are installing the product with an account having admin privileges.
If the installer still won't run, please create a service request and ask for the product (edition, version and bit type) to be supplied via FTP.
