My Toad Data Modeler crashed, how do I create and send a Eureka Log?
When Toad Data Modeler throws Access Violation, a new window opens. Before you close the
window by clicking the OK button, enable the Copy to Clipboard checkbox on the bottom right-hand corner of the window. Then please click the OK button, create a new email message or text
document and use CRTL+V to paste the content from clipboard to the new email message.
Step by step:
1. Enable the Copy to Clipboard checkbox.
2. Click OK to close the window.
3. Create a new text file or email message.
4. Use CTRL+V to paste the content from clipboard to the text file or email message.
Note: The steps are shown in the following flash movie:

In case there is no possibility to copy the log to clipboard, please try to find TDM.elf on your system.
Default path on WinXP:
C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Application Data\Quest Software\Toad Data Modeler\TDM.elf

HOW TO SEND MESSAGE EXPLORER LOG
In certain situations, our support engineers or developers need to receive Message Explorer log
where errors or notifications are written. In Toad Data Modeler there are multiple logs (in the
Reverse Engineering Wizard, Model Verification form etc.) where information about particular
process is written. However, there is also one main log. It is called Message Explorer and by default it
is docked at the bottom of the application. (If you closed the Message Explorer earlier, you can open
it again via Tools | Message Explorer menu.)
To save messages from Message Explorer, right-click any item in the Message Explorer and select
Save Messages. Then select a folder where to save the file and send it to us as an email attachment.
Thank you.
Step by step:
1. Make Message Explorer active.
2. Right-click any item and select Save Messages.
3. Select a file where the messages should be saved.
4. Create a new email message and attach the file to it.
