New in this release

New in this release

This 1.2 release of Quest VROOM Dashboard accompanies the release of Foglight for Virtualization, Enterprise Edition 8.7. It includes following new features and improvements:

  • Integrated with Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager to enable the data collection in Quest VROOM. (VRM-172)
    To enable the data collection from Veeam Backup Server, ensure the following:
    • The enterprise-plus license of Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager has been installed.
    • The user account used to monitor Veeam must be assigned with the Portal Administrators role of Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager.
  • Updated the following rules to send email to VROOMAdmin when the rule alarm is triggered: Rapid Recovery Agent Messages, Rapid Recovery Agent Updates, Rapid Recovery Failed Jobs, Rapid Recovery Repositories Time To Full, Unprotected Hyper-V VMs, Unprotected VMware VMs, Veeam Agent Latest Snapshot Time, Veeam Agent Messages, Veeam Agent Updates, Veeam Failed Jobs, and Veeam Repositories Time To Full.  (VRM-168)
  • Added Hyper-V unprotected VMs to the Protected Status > Unprotected Virtual Machines table. (VRM-145)
  • Added the support of VROOM Virtual Machine Automation. It provides you with an approach to perform the Protect, Replicate, and Virtual Standby operations for VMs from the VMware Environment > Virtual Machine Quick View or VMware Environment > VMware Explorer dashboard, without interfacing with Rapid Recovery console. (VRM-139)
  • Added the preview version of Data Protection in the Hyper-V Environment > Virtual Machine Quick View and Hyper-V Environment > Hyper-V Explorer dashboards. (VRM-136)
