NOTE: You can mix the different types of Incremental Backups, for example, restoring both Delta and Incremental Backups, in a recovery scheme to achieve the required result. However, if you use a combination, the restore order and the data items included in each phase are crucial to achieving the wanted result.

Renaming or relocating a database during a restore

During a restore, you can rename a database or relocate all or individual tablespaces to a specified directory. This option lets you create a copy of the database instead of overwriting the existing version.
