In case you are using multiple PT Tools versions for example, PT 8.56 / PT 8.57 / PT 8.59, follow the steps below.
The way PeopleTool works is that it would remember the last PT entries that you have logged in.
For example, initially you installed 8.56 and now you installed 8.5X and logged in. When you try to launch 8.5X pstools, it will display the info from 8.5X.
That’s why you need the psconfig file to switch the tools version. I’ve placed two ps config files on the desktop. One is for 8.56 and the other is for 8.5X.
If you need to switch pstools then go to Start > All Programs > launch the PT version that you need and click the Configuration Manager Tools
Or locate your PT home installation folder an execute the file pscfg.exe.
Then go to the Import /Export tab and click the Import button.
Locate the psconfig file for pstools 8.56/X and click Apply > Ok.
Also you need to go into Windows Stat Client > User Options > PeopleSoft Options and update the following:
- Update the correct path for the "PS Tool Directory"
- Select the "Database" you are currently changing, update the "PS Version" column, make sure the "PS Opr ID" and "password" are correctly entered.
