After changing the database User ID and Password via the Maintenance | Security Setting | Database Login Info Utility, the user can no longer log into Stat. The following error occurs - error: "Unable to complete second pass login. Please notify the system administrator."
Below are the steps to change the STAT db password from the default of STAT. You need to change the password in this order for it to work.
1. Change the password back to the original password (STAT).
2. Make sure that you can successfully login into the Stat client.
3. Change the password for Stat from the client side using Maintenance | Security Settings | Database Login Info. Change the password ONLY, not the userid. Do not exit Stat until the changes are made to the db level as well as the Web Configuration Assistant.
4. Change the password for the Stat user in the db.
5. Bring up the Web Configuration Page (http:\\server_name:8080\stat-config\setup.jsp) and change the passwords for Stat. Make sure to click on save and verify that everything returns in blue.
6. Now exit out of Stat Client and Web Client then try to log back in to the Stat Client.
The above solution only applies to Stat 5.4.x and below. DO NOT USE this solution if you are on Stat 5.5.x.
