From where is taken the timestamp in the stat_agent.log as well server.log ? -
Description
At system level directory the time of the stat_agent.log as well the server.log is correct BUT if the files are opened the timestamps in the logs are different. From where is taken the timestamp in the stat_agent.log as well server.log ?For Example:$ dateFri Apr 17 12:02:03 CDT 2015But the log files itself shows CST timestamp as below but the contents in it are showing PST timings.$ pwd/apps/oracle/source/product/CLSTADEV/STATDEV/stat_log$ ls -ltr stat_agent.log-rw-r--r-- 1 statappl dba 432452 Apr 17 11:53 stat_agent.log$ view stat_agent.log2015-04-17 09:53:22,019 DEBUG ...2015-04-17 09:53:24,024 DEBUG ...In above lines it should show [ 11:53 ] time stamp instead of [ 9:53 ] which is showing PST timings. -
Cause
The time at unix system level was incorrect. -
Resolution
Work with the Unix Admin to determine the right date at system level and as the dates written into db files are Sysdate timestamps,verify also where is the database in relation to the Central Agent machine. Check if they have the same zone or not.
