Description
When SQL Optimizer 8.8.0 for Oracle is opened, SQL plan button is clicked, this error message is show: "The type initializer for 'Quest.Tuning.Common.DevExpressRichTextEdit' threw an exception". Already renamed the C:\Users\<User_Name>\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle\8.8.0\Layout but it didn't fix the problem. -
Resolution
Base on the log file of this user, an error "Font 'Arial' does not support style 'Regular'" shown.
The Arial font corrupted or not installed well may be possible cause of the bug, refer to the following links for supporting information from Microsoft site:
