After upgrading SQL Navigator for Oracle to 6.3, the following error is displayed when accessing the editor:
Problem:
Access to DBA views is required to open this editor. Also either DBA role, SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE role or SELECT ANY DICTIONARY privilege is needed.
RESOLUTION:
1. Close SQL Navigator
2. Open SQL Navigator | On the Oracle Logon window, click the "Options >>" button
3. Check the "Enable using DBA views"
4. Connect to the database
Note: The option "Enable using DBA views" in the Tools | Preferences is not being enabled in SQL Navigator 6.3. This option must be set at the login screen. This issue has been reported to the development team and is waiting for fix in a future release of SQL Navigator.
