Using Spotlight on Unix monitoring a Red hat Linux 4.0 server and Spotlight shows used disk space as 2500%.
Name Free Space Used Space
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 "" 66649.5625
Basically it reports that the mount point above is 2.25 GB in total and that 66 GB is being used. What it should display is that the lvol is 66 GB total and 2.25 GB used.
Follow below instructions to apply the attached patch.
1. Shutdown Spotlight on Unix if it is already running
2. Locate the existing unix.xml files in the Spotlight on Unix installation directories. For example, the default installation locations will be
C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Spotlight\Plug-ins\DatasourceSSH and C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Spotlight\Plug-ins\DatasourceRexec
Rename the unix.xml file in both of these directories to unixold.xml
3. Copy the new unix.xml provided into both of the datasource directories, ssh and rexec.
4. Re-launch Spotlight on Unix and connect to the server that displayed the space issue.
