How to turn off alarm Performance Object NBT Connection not available
Description
Due to system configuration requirement, netbios is turned off causing Spotlight to raise alarm on Performance Object NBT Connection not available.
Resolution
WORKAROUND
1. Go to Configure | Scheduling, from the main menu.
2. Select the SQL Server connection affected from the drop-down list.
3. Locate the schedule called "NBT" and double-click it.
4. Ensure the checkbox "Factory settings" is checked.
5. Click OK.
The Factory Settings by default will not collect data or store in the Statistics Repository to disable attempts to collect data from NBT Performance object to suppress the alarm.
Additional Information
The NBT Connection performance object consists of counters that measure the rates at which bytes are sent and received over the NetBIOS over a TCP/IP (NetBT or NBT) connection between the local computer and a remote computer. The NetBT or NBT protocol provides NetBIOS support for the TCP/IP protocol. The NBT connection is identified by the name of the remote computer.
