Title

"Services - Services not running" alarm filter concern
Description

The alarm "Services - Services not running" has a exclusion filter called "Do not alarm for certain values." There may be a specific situation where only one service needs to be monitored and receive email alerts for (e.g. "SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)"). To filter out all the other services by typing it one at a time into the exclusion filter is not too idea.
Resolution

The Alarm Actions has a condition called "The details contain.." that can do this.

1. Go to "Configure | Alarms" and do not add anything to the exclusion filter

2. Go to "Configure | Alarm Actions" and set it ups as with the condition “The details contains…” and click on “contain all” at the bottom

3. In the resulting pop up pane, click on “contain all of the following phrases…” and click on "Add" to put in the service name that you want to get alert for
