Why is Spotlight blocking itself ?
Resolution

This might be related to the Extended Events introduced in versions later than 11.2. You can try to disable Extended Events (you can do in the properties of the connection in question in 11.6.2 or later OR disable extended events from Configure tab | Spotlight | Configure Extended Events).
