When in playback mode, the Top SQL menu item is grayed out, not allowing to see Top SQL when playing back.
The Top SQL data collected for the Spotlight Statistics Repository will appear in the view 'SQL Analysis - Workload'. By default the data is collected every hour. The data consists of the query SQL, limited to 1 MB, and a large number of statistics about the query execution. The Top SQL drilldown will show what statistics are collected. The number of rows per connection is limited to the lesser of 200 or 1000 divided by the number of enabled SQL Server connections. The selection criteria is the largest total elapsed time.
