Exception when going back to a custom Counter in spotlight at the default settings in Spotlight 8.0 (4332136)

Using Spotlight 8.0, after having created a custom counter in spotlight under default settings and unchecking this and clicking OK => then everything is OK.

But when going back to the custom counters, then spotlight gives an error and the spotlight services have to be cycled.

Rescheduling the same job causes an infinite loop and the machine is running out of memory.
 

WORKAROUND:
Please disable all connections, apply the change and then re-enable the connections.

STATUS:
Issue fixed in the current release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise. To upgrade to the latest version without loss of existing connections and configurations, upgrade to Spotlight version 10.0 first.
