Suppressing certain long running SQL queries
Description

When the long running SQL alarm is configured within Spotlight, there is an option to ignore alarm for certain values however, this seems to only want to use the SPID to decide on whether to ignore a specific alert. The problem is that SPIDs are never guaranteed to be the same every time you connect so you would end up ignoring the wrong thing
Resolution

WORKAROUND
This can be achieved with an alarm action filtering on those keywords and then suppressing the alarm.
STATUS
Enhancement request CR SOSSE-2662 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise.
