Alarm ‘Tempdb File Location’ is raised when tempdb.ldf and tempdb.mdf in different locations.
Description
Definition of ‘Tempdb File Location’ alarm' states it will be raised if tempdb is on drive with other DB files. Does this alarms get raised when one has tempdb.ldf separate from the tempdb.mdf location (two separate drives)?
Resolution
Moving tempdb.ldf file does not trigger this alarm. The condition used for this alarm is whether the tempdb.mdf files are on the same disk as any other non-system database MDF files or not.
