Installed Spotlight Essentials Plug-in, but can´t sign in when trying to use Spotlight from SSMS 2008 R2 SP2 Studio.
Tried to enter Spotlight Essentials email & password and getting an error:
This request was aborted: The request was canceled. The request was canceled, the WebRequest.Abort method was called, or an unclassifiable error occured. This is default value for Status.
To set your Spotlight on SQL Server environment for a proxy please configure via the control panel - Internet Options. Use the attached images for guidance.
Also please ensure, if needed, port 443 (for https access) is open in the firewall.
The above should be on the server running the Spotlight On SQL Server diagnostic server.
If the proxy is in another country then this might be alo due to the defect SOSSE-3991 fixed in version 11.1
