Spotlight on Sybase: New server issues -
Description
We have three new ASE instances we are adding to Spotlight on Sybase. These are added fine, however we cannot connect to them. A dialog pops up saying that Spotlight cannot connect. I can connect to the instance just fine using isql and DBArtisan. Screen capture attached. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND1) Uninstall Spotlight on Sybase 2.8.02) Rename “sql.ini” file to a backup name from this directory:C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Quest Software\sosyb\Example:Rename “sql.ini” to “sql_OLD.ini”3) Install Spotlight on Sybase 2.9.0Download it from Support Portal:https://support.quest.com/If issue persist, please try to delete current connection in Spotlight and add it again.STATUSWaiting for fix in a future release of Spotlight on Sybase -
