After closing Spotlight (either through File | Exit or X icon), the GUI client disappears but the Task Manger shows that spotlight.exe is still running. The spotlight.exe may linger for several hours.
WORKAROUND:
Stop the spotlight.exe from the Task Manger.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of Spotlight on Oracle.
