Spotlight on Oracle- sysdba login attempts twice a day
Description
Weve recently installed Spotlight on Oracle with OS monitoring. After we started the OS monitoring, were started having login problems. Every day at approximately 3:45am and pm, the user tries to log in, but cant connect because of our logon trigger. (We dont let in sessions that dont have an IP, OS_USERNAME and PROGRAM values.) It appears to be connecting as sysdba through server authentication. (We know that its connecting as sysdba because we dont see a corresponding record in dba_audit_session. We know thats OS authentication because theres nothing in the listener log.)
I know this is very little information, but Im hoping you can tell me what is trying to make these attempts so that we can change the parameters.
All that I know about the sessions are the time (3:45am or pm) and that the attempts are using the user we set up for spotlight- connecting as sysdba- probably coming directly from the server.
