Raised database full backup on Availability Group instance: “A full backup has not been taken for database [database_name] in the last XXX days on any availability replica”. (4300003)

The following alarm is raised for Availablilty Groups instance:

“A full backup has not been taken for database [database_name] in the last XXX days on any availability replica”.

The preferred replica for backups is set to the secondary replica. A connection to all replicas have been established in Spotlight.

Last full backup was taken on the primary replica.

Spotlight currently only checks backups on the replica that is set to the preferred replica.

WORKAROUND:

Set the backup preferred replica to the replica that backups takes place in.

STATUS:

Future product enhancement to support Availability Groups connections.
