Description
Having selected DBMS_SPACE as the first preference for statistics source, the Space Manager console throws a run-time error, during the generation of Predicted Reorganization Benefit Report:
"Error executing procedure (2)
ORA-01418: specified index does not exist
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SPACE", line 175
ORA-06512: at "QUEST.QUEST_SPC_ANALYSIS_TASKS", line 251
ORA-06512: at "QUEST.QUEST_SPC_REORG_BENEFIT", line 341.."
The report is not generated after clicking OK. -
Cause
DBMS_SPACE may not support specific index in the schema that the report is run for.

Resolution
Avoid using DBMS_SPACE. Instead Use Space Manager Repository or Oracle Data Dictionary as statistics source. Ensure to run analysis for the intended objects, so that up to date and valid statistics is available for all objects.
