QSA install error: "Cannot continue with upgrade, cannot find QSA installation directory." (4252236)

When running the QSA manual installer - install.bat, the following error is displayed:

set QSA_BASE_DIR=\PROGRAM FILES\QUEST SOFTWARE
Cannot continue with upgrade, cannot find QSA installation directory.
D:"\PROGRAM FILES\QUEST SOFTWARE\Quest Server Agent\instance
Edit parms in script and re-execute.

There was a previous QSA installation which was installed on a different drive. The qsaparms.bat parameter file was set to get the parameter from the database instead from the file itself (set qsagetparms=YES).

Directory does not exist.

1. Open the qsaparms.bat file
2. Find the line "set qsagetparms=YES"
3. Change the value to "set qsagetparms=NO". This will cause the script to ignore the parameters contained in the database and will use what is defined in the parameter file.
4. Save the qsaparms.bat file
5. Create the directory on the machine where you want to install the Quest Server Agent (e.g. D:\PROGRAM FILES\QUEST SOFTWARE\Quest Server Agent\instance)
6. Run the install.bat
