At times one may want to stop/start a Shareplex process on another port. The following describes how to achieve this (shown for start post and one can substitute “start” with “stop” if wishing to stop Post), either at the OS prompt or at the sp_ctrl prompt. It covers Unix as well as Windows environment:
From sp_ctrl
start post on UserName/Password@ServerName:<port #>
From OS command line:
Unix:
sp_ctrl start post on UserName/Password@ServerName:<port #>
Windows:
sp_ctrl.exe start post on UserName/Password@ServerName:<port #>
For the command line option, the path should be set appropriately.
