What is the effect of hostid change on Shareplex .

Resolution
For version 7.5 and below if the hostid changes then new license key is required. Contact the Licensing team here: https://support.quest.com/licensing-assistance for a key.
Starting with version 7.6 there is no need for the new license key, the old license key must be reapplied after the hostid change.
Use splex_add_key to apply the exsisting key.
