At times one may find the need to change the password for SSL network. The reasons could be many, among others, as listed below:
The password was compromised.
There is a password rotation policy in place.
The password was changed on one node in question for some reasons which necessitates the change on other nodes.
The password change involves the following steps:
sp_ctrl (alvsupl17:9138)> shutdown
[ORA11GR2@alvsupl17]/home/paul/p91338-11g/prod/bin> ./sp_security --setup
Security Setup Wizard
This wizard will walk you through setting up the SharePlex network security.
Setup configuration for '/home/paul/p91338-11g/var' and Port 9138 [N]: y
Choose your network security model. Please note the following:
* Cop must be down when the security model is changed, or when the network password is changed
* The same model must be used among all SharePlex nodes replicating to each other
* For security model , the same network password must be set on all SharePlex nodes replicating to each other
 Use basic SSL/TLS connections
Use non-SSL/TLS connections (default prior to SharePlex 9.1.3)
Security model : 1
Please enter a network password that will be used for authentication
among the SharePlex nodes. All SharePlex nodes that replicate data to each
other must have the same network password.

Once you change the password on one node, it is imperative that the password be changed on the corresponding nodes as well.
