The show compare results in error “Value too large for defined data type” as below:

Cause
A very large # of .sql files from previous compare ran on this Shareplex instance are causing issues.

Resolution
If there are a large # of .sql files in the /vardir/log directory on target Shareplex, then before issuing another compare, remove or delete all .sql files. Then run compare again.

Additional Information
The .sql files contain the SQL statement that are needed to be applied to the target table to bring it in sync with the source table. The old .sql files are not needed anymore unless there is a need to analyze out of sync. If so, the .sql files can be moved to a directory other than the target’s /vardir/log directory instead of deleting them.
