How can I find out the Shareplex version that corresponds to a certain version of Log Benchmark Utility (LBU)? -
Description
The Log Benchmark Utility (LBU) is a benchmark utility used by Quest consultants and also by customers to get details on the following:- Help in distributing load for post by using named post queues- Finding out database activities on INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE- Finding out log switches per day, data load, peak activities, etc.The utility can be downloaded from the ftp site in the 'Aditional Information' section.Since the utility comes in different versions and follows the nomenclature lbu-<OS version>-<Oracle version>, it may be difficult to understand what version of Shareplex will work with a certain version of LBU. -

Resolution
The LBU is only tied to a certain OS and Oracle version and has nothing to do with Shareplex version. So long as there is a Shareplex version corresponding to that Oracle and OS version, the version of LBU will be useful for that Shareplex instance. For example, the following LBU will work for Shareplex 5.3:
LBU version 1.1.2 for Oracle 9.2 and Sun 5.8:
lbu-SunOS-5.8-Oracle92.Z -
