Shareplex for Oracle
After turning off SP_OPO_DEBUG, <SID>_opo.log files still generate in my vardir/log directory. Earlier in sp_ctrl, you ' set param SP_OPO_DEBUG_FLAG 0x0f0001ff ' or some value. This generates <SID>_opo.log files in your vardir/log directory.
Then try to turn debug off, 'set param SP_OPO_DEBUG_FLAG 0x00000000', but <SID>_opo.log files still generate in my vardir/log directory. Why is it still generating after I already turned it off.
But <SID>_OPO.log files keep getting generated in the vardir/log directory.
After you turn off debug, 'set param SP_OPO_DEBUG_FLAG 0x00000000' and 'activate param', you need to stop and start post for post to take the new values.
For example:
sp_ctrl > set param SP_OPO_DEBUG 0x00000000
sp_ctrl > activate param
sp_ctrl > stop post
sp_ctrl > start post
That should stop the <SID>_opo.log files from generating.
This problem is address in 4.0. You don't have to stop/start post to turn on/off debug for Post anymore.
