this happens when the wrong OS/DB binary is used to try to install/upgrade shareplex (for example in shareplex V5.3.0)
This error is displayed whilst to to run the install/upgrade .run file:
warning: splex_uname utility not found
The down loaded file or SharePlex do not support your target platform/OS/OraVer Please, contact Quest Software Inc. for more info.
Some of the Operating Systems (OS's) have different binaries complied for them - for example is for shareplex v5.3.3 - there is 2 different binaries for SunOS 5.6 and SunOS 5.8.
Download names and cksum for v5.3.0.63 binaries are listed below:

NOTE: In shareplex V4.5 the binaries for both OS versions were the same

Download the correct package and continue the install/upgrade
