Capture CPU % usage is higher than normal (4235751)

Capture CPU usage is higher than normal (20% plus increase) even though there's very little Oracle activities.

Idle sleep () function was increased from 1000 to 50,000 in SharePlex version 5.3.2. This problem only occurs when there's no activity in Oracle.

WORKAROUND:

None.

STATUS:

Enhancement request ST16630 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Shareplex for Oracle. The fix is to implementing the sleep () function call to reduce the sleep interval from 50,000 microseconds to 1000 microseconds when there is no Oracle data coming in.

This bug is to be fixed in 5.3.3, tentatively release date of Q1 2007.
