Customers want to know if they can direct SharePlex to only replicate tables that qualify under some criteria like object type, datatype, date created, or for that matter any other criteria.
The only way to selectively replicate tables on the basis of some criteria is to use wildcards and auto add feature of SharePlex. The criteria in this feature is the name of the object and/or schema. The auto add feature means that any object that conforms to the wildcard entries in the config file will be added to replication as and when that object is created on source. In the process the object will also get created on target since it needs to be brought into replication. So you may want to note that such selective replication also involves doing it not only for existing objects that conform to wildcard entries but also for other objects that are subsequently created. There is no other criteria presently available (say, object type, datatype contained in object, etc) that would allow objects to be selectively replicated.
