These permissions are used when connecting to and performing tasks on an Expert Assist host system.

Access control permissions are stored on the EA hosts system, under the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DesktopAuthority\V5\Permissions\ in binary form.(Please see the “Security” chapter in the ExpertAssist User Guide)This data is stored in a particular key with the name of the Security Identifiers (SIDs) of the groups or users.These settings set for one ExpertAssist host must be propagated to the registry of the other EA host machines.For example, via Group Policy, logon script, Desktop Authority, etc...The best way to get these settings into registry form is via the EA gui.Select the Security | Access Control section.Once the registry setting are correctly set on one EA host system, export the Permissions registry key. Then apply that key to the other EA host systems.Technical Support does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of the registry. The Windows registry contains information critical to your computer and applications. Make sure you back up the registry before modifying it.
